You may have guessed from the photo, I love vegetable gardening. That’s pretty much what makes me a great developer. What I love most about web and software engineering (and growing vegetables) is the endless pursuit to find systems that simply work to solve problems and make the product grow. I bring improvement to organizational processes and leadership from my experiences that get bigger carrots, juicier tomatoes, better SCRUM, and KPI improvements.
ACHIEVEMENTS
In my current role, I’ve led engineering teams to re-platforming multiple leading national online brands to SEO performative sites that grow established brands in unimagined new ways. Before that, I occupied a principal engineer role leading a large national media company’s online program. Back one more? I led a small but mighty marketing team’s web operations from Series C to Acquisition.

Sr Migrations, Replatforming, and Acquisitions Engineer
In this role I provided technical due diligence for all acquisition work, migrated new properties using bespoke scripting and methodologies from a variety of CMS into the company stack, advised the company's technical direction and site reliability engineering requirements, and led the engineering unit responsible for redesigning multiple high visibility national brands.

This Old House
In this project I led a re-platform from a proprietary graph-ql based cms into a scalable independent solution.
House Method
In this project, I led a complex data migration for a historic media site from a twig based framework into a custom Gutenberg block system via a programmatic bespoke migration server. Additionally, I coordinated efforts between teams via SCRUM to see the project delivered on time.

This role required rebranding and relaunching the national site, as well as a 30+ state level site network. In additional the web rebrand work, I managed all touch points of the technical infrastructure moving from sites that crashed under heavy load weekly to a 100% uptime metric over the last year.
